NYX Pin Up Pout Lipsticks

Image
NYX is a total rockstar when it comes to high quality products at a drugstore price point, so when any NYX product lands on my desk my expectations are already pretty high. However, these blew me out of the water. Keep reading for swatches and to see just why I love these new lip sticks so much! The NYX Pin Up Pout lipstick comes in 24 beautiful shades. This impressive range includes a collection of neutral nudes, oranges, reds, browns, deep vampy shades and bold pinks. There really is something for everybody.  The formula is creamy and pigmented, with a not too shiny satin finish. They aren't drying, and feel good on my lips. I feel like these are the perfect lipsticks to keep in your purse or at your desk at work. They have a solid wear time but are easy to re-apply when you need a touch up. Retailing at the ~$8.99 CAD price point. I have seen other bloggers comment that many of the shades are quite similar, and while that is true, I notice that in similar shades that the underto

Too Faced Melted Latex Liquid Lipsticks | Full Collection Swatched!

Image
I feel like I have said this 1000 times this summer, but the warmer weather always has me reaching for lip glosses over matte liquid lipsticks. Recently Too Faced launched a new collection of Melted Latex Liquid Lipsticks, which more or less work out to being high coverage lip glosses. Keep reading for my lip swatches of the full collection and my thoughts on the formula! From pale nudes to bright pinks to bold purples, this collection has a colour for everybody. I sat down and swatched every shade of this collection. In general I find the formula to be quite comfortable. I wouldn't exactly describe these as long wearing, but some of the darker shades do leave a tint. The fact that they don't last beyond an hour or two isn't a problem in my opinion because these are effectively lip glosses and re-applying is not an issue. I will however say that the darker shades -- "Bite Me", "Bye Felicia" and "Can't Touch This" are patchy and harder to wo

Mary Kay Fall 2017 | Rosé Nudes & Smoky Greys

Image
Technically yesterday was the first day of Fall-- however I am not yet reaching for my smokey plums and berry lips. I went for a walk yesterday for an hour and actually got a sun burn. But that being said, sooner or later we will be reaching for our fall jackets, and when the air gets cool and crisp I put away my corals in search of something a bit moodier. Recently Mary Kay was nice enough to send me their new fall launches, and I am really excited to be sharing them here with you today! The Fall/Winter 2017 collection includes two eyeshadow palettes ($27 CAD each), two lip suedes ($19 CAD each) and three nail polishes ($10 CAD each). While I typically associate rosey hues with spring, the subtle smokiness of these pinks really pulls them into fall for me. This is a great colour range for those looking to update their routine for the new season without quite heading into burgundy-and-gold cut crease territory. For this look I am wearing the Rosé Nudes  palette. I applied the centre c

Séxūal Paris For Her & For Him by Michel Germain

Image
Nothing makes me happier than when I get a PR package that I can share with my boyfriend. I'm lucky to get a number of wonderful gifts in the mail every month, but it is always extra special when there is something I can share with him. I was delighted earlier this month to receive not one, but two of Michel Germain's scents. One for me, and one for him! I probably sound like a broken record, but I love it when Classy On The Run gets to feature Canadian products. As luck would have it, Michel Germain is Canadian! But enough about that... let's get down to business. This PR package arrived the day before my boyfriend and I were scheduled to go on a double date. I thought it would be fun if we were to each wear the scent that we had been sent. I was more excited about this idea than he was, but for the sake of blogging science he was happy to go along for the ride. Live la vie en rose. Every spritz is a world where French sophistication dances with romance and love. French bl

Pacifica Lip Balms

Image
Its always handy to have a lip balm in your purse. Often enough my boyfriend will ask if I have one, or I will end up in a heavily air conditioned office that just dries me out (summer). In the winter, its the cold wind coming in off Lake Ontario that leave my face (and in particular my lips) dry and chapped. I tend to get bored of the traditional vanilla/mint/cherry combinations so I was excited when Pacifica's new collection landed on my desk! This fun new launch includes seven new lip balms and a lip scrub. Flavours include: Persian Cherry, Summer Kale, Bali Coconut, Cuban Mango, Hawaiian Banana, Indian Chai and Rainbow Watermelon. Each of these balms is clear -- no tints here! They each have a very unique and distinct scent. In my opinion, Indian Chai is the most unique! I have never seen chai as a lip balm flavour, and I know that it will be a hit for those who love chai tea! Hawaiian Banana smelled just like the ear infection medicine I had as a kid, in the best possible way

Fab Fit Fun Fall 2017 Spoliers & Why I Switches To The Annual Subscription

Image
I haven't been this excited about my Fab Fit Fun box in a while. Actually... probably since last fall! I find that they do an excellent job on the fall box because they seem to  find the most lovely scarves! Keep reading to see why I switched to an annual subscription, and to see what I will be getting! However there was no option to select the colour. While I think either is nice and wearable, I am really hoping for the pink one! We also had a choice between a scalp treatment (which is what I selected) or a charcoal toothpaste set. My Burberry Blush Eau De Parfum

Image
If My Burberry is a busy, professional London executive, then My Burberry Blush is when she dons her favourite dress and attends a garden party with her high class peers (and in this image, the Duchess of Cambridge is in attendance with Princess Charlotte for a perfect girls day while William is off flying planes with George). Launched in London in August, My Burberry Blush is a fresh and feminine take on the original. Housed in a sturdy glass rectangle, it is capped off by a blush pink bow and a blush tortoise-shell stopper. Between the blush pink bottle and the gold writing, Burberry knows exactly what the young women of today want. Inspired by a London garden in the first light of day as flowers blossom with a spirited burst of energy. My Burberry Blush opens with gazed pomegranate, and vibrant lemon. Delicate rose petal notes are lifted with crisp apple, while a base of jasmine and wisteria accord round off the scent. When I first spritzed this scent I detected the rose petals and

Nudestix All Over Face Colour | Bondi Bae & Illumi-naughty

Image
Ever since Nudestix hit the aisle at Sephora, I have been a fan of this homegrown Canadian brand. Recently they expanded away from their standard eye and lip crayons to include some products for the rest of our face. Today I am here with a quick review on their bronzer and highlighter!  Each of these cream products come in a thick black twist up tube. I almost want to describe them as crayon style... but not quite. On one end is the product that you can twist up. On the other end you will find a soft, dense brush. In addition to being availiable as bronzers and highlighters they also come in blush form. Nudie All Over Face Colour in "Bondi Bae" ($33 CAD) Bondi Bae is a matte mid toned warm bronzer that reminds me a fair bit of Benefit's Hoola when it comes to the colour. Nudie All Over Face Colour Glow in "Illumi-Naughty" ($33 CAD)  Illumi-naughty is more than a fun name! It is a stunning pearl highlight with a bit of a pink shift to it.  I applied Bondi Bae in

MAC Next To Nothing Foundation Review & Why Blog Posts Are More Than First Impressions

Image
The working title for this post is "MAC Next To Nothing Foundation Review & Why Blog Posts Are More Than First Impressions"...and ugh...I just don't even want to write it. I want to start off by saying that I have a fair bit of love for MAC as a brand, and that I really, really, really hate sharing negative reviews. But........... There really is no good way to say it. I really do not care for this foundation and I don't think that there is much good that I can say about it. Now that I have that off of my chest let's get into the meat of the review. MAC Next To Nothing Face Colour ($38 CAD) MAC's Next To Nothing Face Colour comes in nine shades. I wear the second palest shade called "Light Plus". It is described as a "moisturizing tinted cream" and it is probably the oiliest MAC foundation I have ever tried.  I often found my face too slick to apply blush and bronzer directly on top so I ended up setting it wish various powders trying t

Clinique x Jonathan Adler

Image
Earlier this summer Clinique launched a bright, bold, and beautiful collection with interior designer Jonathan Adler. Adler was inspired by "jet-set glamour" and as luck would have it, I received this collection at more or less the same time that I set off on my own whirlwind vacation.  While this post is up a litter later than I would like, I have zero regrets about my trip! He said that he wanted to reflect the luxury and beauty of iconic summer destinations. While he may not have named a lipstick after Barcelona, Morocco or Nice, this collection brings back wonderful memories of a perfect vacation. This collection included Clinique's popular Lip, Lid, and Cheek Pops. I don't know if I have ever got into it on the blog, but I am a big fan of Clinique's Cheek Pop blushes. For this launch I was lucky enough to be sent both the pretty pink brush set and the three lipsticks! The packaging is all very Art Deco ( much like the hotel we stayed in in Nice! ) complete wi

IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Review

Image
I've been an ipsy Glam Bag subscriber for quite a while, and I was always delighted when I would be lucky enough to get a product from IT Cosmetics. Up until very recently beauty lovers couldn't purchase IT anywhere in Canada. Well, august has been a pretty great month for a number of reasons, including the fact that Sephora started to carry IT. More than that... Sephora CANADA started to carry IT. Now if only we could get Lorac in Canada and I would be all set! The Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream is available in 7 shades. This full coverage CC Cream is clinically shown to increase hydration, smooth texture, and enhance brightness. It contains an anti-ageing serum that works to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and pores to create a more radiant, supple, and flawless-looking complexion. Since I have been using this foundation as an every day foundation I wanted to showcase the product as I typically use it with my everyday work look, with no concealer. Don't get me wrong,
