Sephora VIB Rouge Sale Haul | Skincare

Let me start this post by telling you all just how proud of myself I am. 15% off for basically a whole week at Sephora and I only ordered three things. Gold. Star. And honestly, skin care is an investment so it totally does not count...
I ordered the Old Henriksen Walnut Scrub. This scrub is my holy grail. I have been using it since it came in a jar. I love the sweet, nutty smell, and how gentle it is on my face. It leaves my skin looking and feeling great! I couldn't imagine using another scrub as my go-to.

I ended up with a few deluxe samples of Clinique's Take The Day Off Balm over the last few months, and I fell in love with it! It leaves my skin feeling great and does an amazing job at removing makeup (even eyeliner and mascara!). I really put off buying it-- in part because of my samples, and in part because I wanted to redeem Optimum points for it, but Shoppers does not carry it! So happy to have this in my bathroom now. I can see it also becoming a holy grail!

The only makeup I picked up was Cheerleader by Huda Beauty. This colour is only availiable online. It is a beautiful muted brick red. I actually would not normally reach for a colour like this, but I saw a picture of my friend Brittany wearing it on Facebook and I just new it was necessary. Probably more of a fall shade, but I think it looks great for summer too. I have been wearing it some days at work with a simple, clean look and it really makes me look like a classy professional grown up. As for the formula is is the lightest weight liquid lipstick I have every worn-- it almost feels like water-- and it has a great wear time. With a slight coconutty scent, this formula and colour is a winner. Can you tell I'm obsessed? I'm obsessed.

I am really proud of myself for not going crazy during this sale. There are a few things I want to pick up during the 4x the point event they usually do in the summer. I usually leave bigger purchases for the 4x the points sale because 15% off isn't really much of a deal...

In case you are curious, my short list for the 4x the points event are: Kevin Aucoin Sculpting Powder ($53), Laura Mercier Silk Creme Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation ($58), Serge Lutens Jeux de peau ($145), Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Blushing Bride ($35) = $291 x4 = 1164 points.

I posted about this on Twitter, but have not mentioned it on the blog. Recently I redeemed 4,500 points for 1 year of unlimited brow wax, brow tint and lip wax at Benefit at Sephora locations. Excited to have fantastic brows for a year. They have really stepped up their points game (check in on Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon, EST for the new large point gifts) and I am thrilled with my recent redemption.

ALSO during the sale I picked up my Sephora birthday gift. I opted for the Tarte set because I love their nude blushes!

What did you pick up during the sale / what is on your wish list for the next promotion?

xoxo

Products purchased with my own money, obviously.
