Recently I was selected by Chick Advisor for a campaign with Vichy.  I was sent a few of their suncare products.  Prior to this opportunity I had only really used Vichy in the form of free samples from Shoppers.  I went into this thinking Vichy was a good brand.  What were my thoughts after testing the products?  Keep reading! Can we just dub this year the Year of the Highlight?   The Season of the Strobe? Seriously there are so many beautiful highlights on the market that I really don’t even know where to start.   Recently this Too Faced highlighter landed on my desk and I couldn’t wait to get it on my face. This highlighter has a white gold half and a rosy pink half with an embossed chandelier.  Lately I have been focusing on the white gold half, but this highlighter is so versatile (I will get into that in a moment!).    This powder feels very hard at first swatch, but it picks up well on the brush and applies to the face like a bendable buttery dream.   I can’t stop checking out the glow on my face every time I pass a mirror when I am wearing this! With notes of blackberry, Bulgarian rose, rose centifolia, cognac and incense this perfume is not what typically comes to mind when I think of a rose fragrance.  Yes, of course, it smells like roses. However rather than being light and delicate, this fragrance is alluring, and a bit sexy in a classy way. This fragrance is warm and luxurious-- and I have been really enjoying it. I think this would be perfect to wear on a date night, maybe on a weekend getaway?  I would categorize this as more of an evening fragrance.  I personally would not wear this to work, or to see my boyfriend's parents if that is any indication. It seems every season that my collection of Too Faced Melted Lipsticks grows a little bit.   They are one of my favourite lipstick formulas—easy to apply, a great shade range, and they feel great on the lips! Marshmallow is a light bubble gum / candy pink with an easy to work with formula.   This feminine shade is perfect for spring and summer.   For a lighter shade this has a surprisingly opaque formula.   I expected it to be more similar to Peony, however Marshmallow is much brighter. Ruby is, as far as I am concerned, the opposite of Marshmallow.   It is dark, deep, vampy and very sexy.   I found that Ruby had a harder to work with formula, but after two coats my lips were fully covered.   I was surprised at how much I liked Ruby on me, and I can’t wait to wear this in the fall.   Or well, I can wait.   I LOVE the summer weather, but once it gets cooler, Ruby will be making an appearance in my lipstick wardrobe!
